Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in an excellent game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, unlike the majority of other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players do not need to fret about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their $$$$.

One more Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game pace, beginners will be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make hasty decisions.

It’s also easier to wager on for a very long time with just a tiny bit of money since, to lose, both of your hands has to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards face up and the dealer gets seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
