Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tricks
Web poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variants on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning bet, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes directly to the bank. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with an amount in accordance with the original wager. If the house does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The house pays out chips equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
