Online poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier saying "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers acquire five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a sum in accordance with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The house pays cash even with your bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
